Davis Boxing Promotions Brings “Grind & the Glory” to Washington, DC
Washington, DC is set to host an explosive night of professional boxing as Davis Boxing Promotions presents Grind & the Glory, a stacked fight card headlined by championship bouts, rising local stars, and proven contenders hungry to make a statement.
Topping the bill is Maryland’s undefeated standout Chris “The Blueprint” Glenn (9-0, 3 KOs), who will defend his NBA Super Bantamweight Title in an eight-round showdown against dangerous Dominican Republic puncher Erick “El Flash” Rosado (15-3, 11 KOs). Glenn enters the bout unbeaten and confident, but Rosado’s reputation as a heavy-handed finisher adds real intrigue to this title defense. With both fighters eager to shine on a big stage, fans can expect a high-stakes clash with championship implications.
The co-main event features a major welterweight collision as Greg “Sharpshooter” Outlaw, the #11 ranked fighter in the WBA and reigning NABA Welterweight Champion, steps into a 10-round battle against New Jersey’s tough and tested Michael Lee (11-3, 7 KOs). Outlaw’s precision and ring IQ will be put to the test against Lee’s grit and knockout power in what promises to be a fast-paced, competitive fight.
Adding local flavor and unfinished business to the card, Washington, DC’s own Stephaun “The BrickLayer” Hopps (6-0, 5 KOs) faces Maryland veteran Ashton “The Goon” Sykes, an 18-bout professional, for the ABO Middleweight Title. The matchup carries extra intensity, as Hopps looks to avenge a previous loss to Sykes from their amateur days. With pride, redemption, and a title on the line, this bout is expected to deliver fireworks.
The undercard is equally compelling, featuring a deep lineup of talent including Joe Veazey, Dayvon Whitmire, Tremaine Fuller, Johnny Peredes, Keith Saunders, Tabish Faqiri, and Crisanto Lucio. Each fighter brings their own style and ambition, making this a well-rounded card packed with action from top to bottom.
With championship bouts, regional rivalries, and rising prospects all on one night, Grind & the Glory is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated boxing events in the Washington, DC area.
